Packing Tip: How to Move Makeup
Posted in: I'm Moving, Pro Packing GuidesWe may be alienating 50% of our audience with the topic of today’s post, but this tip is too good not to share just because the guys may not dig it.
Ladies…is it not the most infuriating thing to spend an arm and a leg on a gorgeous new shimmery eyeshadow (that the sales woman promised would make your eyes pop!), only to have it shatter into a million pieces when you travel or move your makeup bag from one place to the next? This unfortunate event happens to many women, and they’re often left with a crushed mess of eyeshadow, blush, or powder.
Those fragile makeup palettes can break easily if not handled carefully, so how the heck are you supposed to transport them when you move into a new place? Well…we did some research and found a little life hack to keep your makeup in one piece.
The answer? COTTON BALLS!
Yep, these little babies are lifesavers. All you need to do is take a cotton ball (or cotton square), and press it into your powder or eyeshadow. Then firmly close the case around the cotton ball. This will prevent your expensive shadow from breaking into hundreds of tiny useless pieces.
If the cotton ball is a little too big for your makeup, then cut it to size. Just make sure you cover all of the powder and there isn’t room for anything to jostle around.
There you have it! No more spending big bucks on the good stuff, only to have it shatter when you move. We hope you’ll use this moving tip the next time you travel or move your beauty essentials from point A to point B.
