A Villain & His Angry Victim
This month in our ‘Stories’ department we come face to face with one of the villains of our industry. An evil, wretched man who preys on the elderly. He invades their homes in broad daylight and takes everything away from them, right in front of their eyes. By the time they realize what has happened it is too late. Our bad guy has disappeared.
He gets away with it, time and time again. Until one day he picks the wrong victim. And the cross-country manhunt is on.
So goes the plot of Jonathan Stone’s Moving Day, the story of a 72-year-old man with a harsh past and an unwillingness to let the man who drove off with his life get away.
Depending on your preference the book can be read in print or digitally, or listened to via the audio version. If you like to dig into a piece of fiction now and then, this one might be interesting for the connection to our profession. This all makes us wonder: what if we put together our own book of moving day stories? As they say, truth is stranger than fiction…
