A Housewarming Gift from the Neighborhood FOODIE
Calling all foodies from the neighborhood… we need your help!
If you’re a food lover with the inside scoop about which restaurants in your area are amazing and have specific recommendations about what to order at these hot-spots, then today’s “Housewarming Gift” may be right up your alley.
When someone is new to the neighborhood, they often times don’t have information about which pizza place should be their new “go-to” on Friday nights, which sushi place has the best Ahi Tuna Rolls, or what night Margaritas are 1/2 price at the local Mexican restaurant.
Instead of spending money trying to come up with the a housewarming gift to show the new neighbor some love, why not collect take-out menus that are “foodie tested, foodie approved” from all of your favorite places in town?
Collect these menus and put them in a folder or three-ring binder to share with your new neighbor. You can categorize them by food type or just put them all together.
For extra credit, you can even write your “tips” on the menu or highlight meals that restaurant is known for. If you don’t want to mark up the menus, adding post-its of additional information is a great alternative.
When you go and meet the new neighbors, you can skip whipping up those fresh baked cookies and just come armed with your new collection o’ menus from one experienced local foodie – everybody loves food, housewarming gift win!
After a long day of moving in, enjoying the best pizza and beer in town may be exactly what your new neighbor has in mind. Cheers!
