Tool Organization - How To Stop Losing Tools

New homeowners tend to acquire quite the collection of tools when they first move in. Trips to local hardware stores, shower gifts, fixes that somehow require that single tool you don’t have in your collection all attribute to a random pile of tools.

Pretty quickly, I’m sure you feel like you have plenty, actually you probably think you have too many when the dust settles, but trust me when I say that this enormous collection of tools will mysteriously be hidden in every nook and cranny of your home in about a year IF you don’t get those bad boys under control with some serious tool organization right from the start.

Tips for a Moving Container MoveAbout a year ago, my husband and I packed up all of our belongings and moved from St. Louis to our current apartment in Chicago.  We rented a PODS container and we used HireAHelper for the “muscle” portion of our move. Picture this. Your lease is up on your apartment, and you’re getting the boot next month. This does sound like a stressful scenario, but it is also a very common situation for many people. Recent studies are proving that most prospective home buyers check out your house & decide whether or not it’s “the one” well before they step foot in it. With today’s technology overhaul, home buying is less like a blind date and far more like online dating.

To snag those online suitors, it is absolutely essential that your home’s “profile pictures” are nothing less than amazing. Some casual pictures of your home looking “lived in” is just not going to cut it in today’s market.

You must go that extra mile and get your home all dressed up to create photos that are much more attractive in order to earn that “first date”. Chances are with a series of show-stopping pictures, courting those prospective buyers will be a breeze! So, how do you stage your home just right?

We  offered a few helpful hints in staging & photographing your home here, and we briefly touched on bringing some life into your home with fresh flowers and plants in that post.
